"Are you Okay?" program started in the City of Villa Rica in December 2007. This is a free service offered by the Villa Rica Police Department to our seniors or physically challenged citizens who live alone and wish to remain independent. They may be placed on our call list to receive a check-up call at their convenience.
Contacting an elderly person, homebound individual or latch-key child on a daily basis helps to reassure their well-being and give them a feeling of security. The "Are You Okay?" telephone reassurance system eases the concern of friends and family whom may find it difficult to maintain consistent, reliable contact. The system brings a sense of comfort into every subsciber's home.
Each day at a prearranged time, the system automatically makes these computerized monitoring calls inexpensively and without interruption to normal community services.
This is a FREE service offered by the Villa Rica Police Department.
