How old do I have to be to get a library card?
There is no age limit on getting a card, but patrons under 18 years of age you will need a parent or guardian to sign for a card.
How many Books/Movies/Audios can I check out?
There is a limit of 50 items in any combination per card. Libraries reserve the right to limit materials to three items per subject.
Services?
Fax Machine -No Copier - Yes, Copies are $.15 per page and are black and white. The copier does enlarge and reduce. Internet Access - Yes, Print-outs on the computer are $.25 per page and are color Word Processing for Typing and Resumes - Yes Typewriter- No
Can you look me up in the computer if I don't have my library card with me?
No, state policy says that we must present your library card for any transactions.
Can I bring my children and leave them at the library?
Children under 13 are required to have a parent with them at all times.
Can I use my cell phone in the library?
No. People use the library for studying and test-taking. A ringing cell phone is very distracting. As a courtesy to these people, we ask that you turn your cell phone off before entering. If you do not turn off your phone, you will be asked to leave the library.
What other libraries accept my PINES library card?
The Pines System is state wide. So many libraries across the state of Georgia accept the PINES Card.
Is there a drop box available for returning books?
Yes, a drop-box is located in front of the library, but it is only unlocked when the library is closed.
What time does the library close?
Regular library hours are: M-Th 9:00-7:00 Fr 9:00-5:00 Sat 9:00-2:00 Sun Closed The circulation desk and computers shut down 15 minutes prior to closing time.
