Welcome! One of the many goals of the Watershed Protection Department is to make sure we provide information and resources to our residents and business owners about ways to help protect our water resources here in Villa Rica. The Watershed Protection Department is looking for small businesses, youth groups, service clubs, neighborhood associations, schools, ecology clubs, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, etc. to participate in the Clean Water Campaign Stenciling Program. Stenciling is easy. Storm Drain stenciling is a way to paint messages on storm drains so that people will not dump anything down a storm drain. The drains usually have messages that say “No Dumping Drains to Stream. If you are interested in participating in a stenciling activity please contact the Watershed Protection Department.

If you notice an illicit discharge in drainage infrastructures, streams, bodies of water, etc. please contact Jameson Green, Watershed Protection Manager at 678-840-1214 or e-mail: jgreen@villarica.org . illicit discharge is any discharge to the drainage system that is not composed entirely of storm water.
